     Year: 2022.
Info:
An audio-visual multi-channel immersive video using various filmed footage, practical and digital effects accompanied by a dynamic & immersive soundtrack.
This project features our interpretation of Hutton’s Paradox, questioning whether reality is a dream driven by the quote “If you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you"
Concept:
Based on the inspiration from Nietzche's quote, our project uses two channels to describe the desperate, grieving and dreading emotions when facing the contrast, facing the dark side, facing the abyss.
By designing channels' interaction, colour grading, digital effects and sound infection, to deliver the helpless, hopeless feeling either in reality or in the dream.

Director Statement:
As a director, I respect the balance between the space, I believe our life is a circle, and the equality ' -x + x=0 ' is always satisfied. That I have chosen to make a series of works about telling the desperate, grieving emotions when struggling with the negative, which encourages people to bravely face the negative and learn to accept the pain in life.

Behind the scene
Here is the first scene shooting place, which is on a playground in the park. I set four camera positions that are on the left and right sides of the house and both sides of the chair, then put them on two screens and switch each of them to achieve screen interaction.
      CCTV scene:
I use an instal360 camera to make the CCTV scene. The camera could shoot the whole view of my running, which means it could shoot me running toward the camera and running away as well. So, I bring it into the instal360 studio, stay on the different camera angles, and separately render each camera angle to get the "CCTV" scene.
Besides shooting the outside, my living place is another main shooting place. Here is the window connected to the backyard.
Here is the shadow shooting place, which is on my bed. Firstly, I fixed the spotlight and lay on the bed. I put the hand before the light, but also to ensure the hand is behind the camera, so it could only show the shadow movement in the camera.
